Main Building
PHPC's main building connects the Sanctuary and Chapel to a parlor, library, Fellowship Hall and a gymnasium, plus many classrooms/meeting rooms. In addition to housing church offices, PHPC is home to the Dallas office of Austin College, Sherman, TX and to Vickery Meadow Learning Center, a mission of the church. Rooms which are used for Sunday School double as preschool and Parents’ Day Out rooms as well as classrooms for the elementary school. Community organizations are invited to hold meetings at Preston Hollow, and can reserve rooms by calling the Receptionist at (214) 368-6348. Youth House
Home to PHPC youth, this building features a large living room with fireplace, a group-sized kitchen, smaller meeting space, as well as showers for overnighting groups. Basketball hoops, a pool table and cookout equipment make entertainment and making friends, as well as studying together, convenient and welcoming. Library
PHPC maintains a reading library of more than 20,500 volumes. Open from 9am-noon on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, it also offers a constantly changing shelf of "airplane books," shared and traded by members of the congregation. Together, our part-time Librarian, Shirley Rollins, and a staff of volunteers maintain this diverse collection of books and magazines. They can be reached at (214) 368-6348. Weekday School
Preston Hollow Presbyterian School was founded in 1962 as a community outreach ministry of PHPC. It is a coeducational private day school for students of average or above average intelligence (ages 6-12) who, due to identified learning differences, are not able to perform in a regular classroom at a level commensurate with their measured ability. Our goal is to provide a positive, nurturing individualized approach to teaching to remediate a child's weakness and build on his or her strengths. For more information, please contact Sheila Phaneuf at (214) 368-3886. Preschool
Our preschool strives to provide a warm, loving and supportive environment for learning, and is appropriate for children of all religious backgrounds, race and national origin. Our curriculum is an eclectic program developed over the years to help children grow intellectually, socially and physically. For more information, please contact Sheila Phaneuf at (214) 368-3886. Springhill Retreat Center
50 wooded acres and a country lodge at the northeast corner of Richardson were once the weekend hideaway of a Preston Hollow family. The original lodge, plus new meeting space and sleeping accommodations for 40, are now a non-denominational recreation and meeting facility owned and maintained by PHPC. The facility is available for use by churches of all denominations as well as individuals, educational and not-for-profit groups. For more information, please visit our Springhill Retreat Center page. Wedding Facilities & Policies
PHPC's Sanctuary and Chapel are perennial favorites for weddings. Church members receive priority, but the facilities can be used by non-members as well. A gracious parlor adjoins both worship spaces. For more detailed information on our wedding facilities, please visit our Weddings page. |
