During the school year, PHPC children study the Bible on a three-year rotation. Summer Sunday School is only during June and August. The Summer program is characterized by large group singing, broadly graded activities, and drama. In July, children attend intergenerational worship services with their families. The curriculum for Preschoolers and Kindergarteners for the year 2004-2005 is We Believe. This is a biblically-based curriculum written by PC(USA) and is new this year. Elementary students continue their adventure using Cornerstones, a curriculum written for the rotation workshop method of teaching. This year's theme is The Messiah. Students will concentrate on a particular story for one month, as they rotate through a different room each week. There are 12 workshop rooms that have special emphasis in art, drama, computer, storytelling, cooking, geography, puppetry, movement & music, mission and worship.
