Raising Christian families in a big and changing and secular city is a serious challenge. Making friends and finding people at church who share your interests are key elements in "belonging" to a community. At Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, we believe that often the best way to reach a person's heart is through friendship, learning together and playing together. So, in addition to worship and Sunday School, Preston Hollow offers an array of choices for families. All-Church Events
While we see each other weekly at worship, all members are invited to come together for special fellowship events throughout the year. These events gather people of all ages and strengthen our sense of community.
Human Sexuality Class
PHPC is proud to be at the forefront of churches providing medically sound, biblically-based, and culturally sensitive training on God's gift of sexuality. Classes for 2nd through 5th graders and their parents are offered every other year, and for sixth graders and their parents every year. Presbyterian Parenting Class
This adult Sunday School class hosts excellent speakers on topics pertaining to practices that nurture faith in children and youth and the skills required to be effective parents. Parents - both couples and singles - find this a great opportunity for much-needed support and spiritual growth as well. This class is offered as part of the regular Adult Sunday School Schedule.
Fireside Storytime
A Christmas special for little children, this is an early evening spent around the Christmas tree and the fireplace. Very young, pajama'd children and their families sing songs and hear the pastor tell the Christmas story, accompanied by milk and cookies. As families leave, they can view the Living Creche in the pecan grove, a live re-enactment of the Christmas story. Family Christmas Eve Service
A short, early Christmas Eve service designed to help families with excited little ones worship in the spirit of Christmas. Every child is offered a costume upon entering the the sanctuary so they may enter into the nativity scene as it is created through scripture and familiar carols. Feast of New Life
On Palm Sunday afternoon, help your young children prepare for Holy Week and Easter with a gym full of craft centers, the telling of the Easter story, and a festive pizza feast with door prizes and friends. Who to Contact
