The goal for education at Preston Hollow Presbyterian is to offer varied opportunities for members at every age and stage of faith development, so that they may participate in a comprehensive and lifelong educational program. Inherent in this goal is the recognition that as a community of faith, PHPC's Education Mission engages its members in activities that foster learning in settings of Christian fellowship, dialogue and service. All members of PHPC are challenged to grow in their faith and understand how to apply it in everyday life.
Sunday School
There are two semesters in the church school year, spring and fall. Each semester, new core curricula are utilized that include courses in Biblical studies ranging from introductory overviews to in-depth studies of particular books, themes, and passages. We foster excellence and continuity in class leadership, teaming talented lay members of the congregation with our professional staff. Classes are about much more than the topic at hand. They are for discussion and forming friendships, sharing each other's spiritual journeys and, occasionally, for service as well.
With the help of our church family, we continually refine and develop our educational program in order to increase the number, quality and breadth of opportunities available to our members.
