Getting to know you is part of being a family of faith. With over 2900 members at PHPC, we organize to provide opportunities. Our dedicated staff, elders and volunteers are constantly trying to find new ways to involve members in activities that foster friendship and spiritual growth throughout the year, both inside the classroom, and through such annual events as the Springhill picnic in May, the Pine Cove family retreat, and the Yule brunch. Both our Singles Ministry and Emeritus (senior adults) Ministry organizations provide great opportunities for fellowship and service.
Our congregation is committed to an educationally-rich offering for its members and visitors, both married and single. While ongoing Sunday School classes study, work and play together throughout the year, Bible study has moved well beyond the Sunday School hour. Disciple Bible study groups continue to multiply. Parenting classes and related classes for parents of youth happen throughout the year, as do Marriage Preparation, Marriage Enrichment, Divorce Recovery, and Grief Recovery sessions. Periodic adult convocations with guest speakers give us varied opportunities to explore learning in many settings.
Our Children's and Youth Ministry programs overflow with participants, and are blessed with dedicated teachers and organizers who utilize innovative, excellent curricula. Learning and spiritual development combine with service and friendship to make these programs peerless.
Music is an important and vibrant part of our worship service, and can be seen in the popularity and success of our music program. Choirs for all ages have been expanding dramatically over the last several years, as have our instrumental ensembles and bells.
