Funeral Home Arrangements
One of the most loving gifts you can leave your family upon your death is having arranged for your memorial service and cremation.
Any PHPC minister is happy to assist you in planning your memorial service and will keep your wishes on file at the church.
Choosing a funeral home for cremation need not be a difficult task, and to assist you a sampling of funeral homes offering cremation services, with their prices, is available by clicking the link below. Please read the first page to assist you in understanding the chart of funeral homes.
We encourage you to examine the information provided, and choose a funeral home with which you are comfortable in planning your cremation well in advance of the stress and pressures present at the time of death. Your family will have an abundance of things to deal with upon your death, and this is a large decision that you can relieve them of.
You may pre-pay for your cremation when you plan for this service, but this is not recommended unless death is imminent, thus maintaining your flexibility of choice.
When you have completed your arrangements, the funeral home should keep a copy, a copy should be placed in your file at the church, and you should keep a copy.

Did you know . . .
If you participate in the Willed Body Program at UT Southwestern Medical School, your remains will not be available for approximately 6-18 months. At the conclusion of need, your body will be cremated at no cost to you. If you wish to have the cremains returned to your family for inurnment or other purposes, there is a $200 fee; otherwise, your cremains will be spread in a memorial garden on the UT campus at no cost.
